I realized something about traveling with a baby – you are forced to get up early and out the door, and that’s so good! Pre-baby, we’d usually end up sleeping in and get outside later than we liked.
But, this morning we left the flat by 10am and it felt like we had seen and done so much by 12:30 or so. The weather couldn’t be beat – blue skies, cool air, and the prettiest spring blossoms. I’m telling you, London is charming the heck out of us!

We made it to London! The journey over couldn’t have gone smoother. Adeline did so, so well on her first flight (over 8 hours!) and we feel so freakin’ proud of her. We experienced such generosity from airline employees and fellow travelers, too. We did it!

The lack of winter around here seemed to make this year’s bluebonnets pop up even earlier. I’m not sure how long the tradition of taking bluebonnet photos has been around (I’m guessing a while), but I absolutely love that it hasn’t gone away. We live in this constantly changing world, this alllways evolving place, but people still pull over on the side of the highway to take pictures with the bluebonnets. Am I making sense? It just makes me happy. No matter what’s going on, no matter how different we all are, we can count on a tradition like this.
